Hear from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders on the conversations that matter, recognising the past, celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander achievement and looking to the future. This event is being held with the support of the ACT Government, without which the event would not be possible.
The Panel
- Tanya Hosch – General Manager of Inclusion and Social Policy at the AFL, Goodwill Ambassador for the UNAA, Indigenous Advisory Group member at NAB and member of Chief Executive Women. Tanya is a Torres Strait Islander women, with a distinguished history in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander policy, advocacy and governance, including as Joint Campaign Director of the Recognise Campaign.
- Joe Morrison– Managing Director of Six Seasons Consulting and former Chief Executive Officer of the Northern Land Council and the North Australian Indigenous Land & Sea Management Alliance. Joe is of Dagoman and Torres Strait Islander heritage and over 25 years experience working with Indigenous peoples in northern Australia, across the world, and at UN Fora including the Permanent Forum on Indigenous issues.
- Malachi Murljacic (Moderator) – Former UNAA intern, and New Colombo Plan Scholar, who completed an internship in the Youth Co:Lab team at the United Nations Development Program. Malachi is a proud First Nations Australian of the Kunja People. Malachi has studied in Thailand, Fiji and Canada and in 2022 will pursue a Masters in Indigenous entrepreneurship for capital development and self-determination.
