The UNAA is delighted to announce Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC as our new National Patron. Ms Mostyn was sworn in as Australia’s 28th Governor-General on 1 July 2024, and we are honoured to have her support and guidance.
A distinguished businesswoman and community leader, Ms Mostyn brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to serving the Australian community. Her career spans diverse sectors, including business, sport, climate change, the arts, policy, and the not-for-profit sector.
Ms Mostyn’s commitment to international engagement is reflected in her service as President of the Australian Council for International Development from 2013 to 2017. She has also contributed to various independent reviews and panels focused on improving community outcomes.
The UNAA is privileged to have Ms Mostyn as our Patron and looks forward to working with her to promote the vital work of the United Nations in Australia and contribute to a safer, fairer, and more sustainable world. We also express our sincere gratitude to previous patrons for their invaluable service and support.
