On 2nd June, the UNAA QLD celebrated 71 years of Australian participation in Peacekeeping in Brisbane
This was a special event attracting people who served, representatives of countries where we’ve undertaken 62 missions, networks, young people, and the public who are interested in peace processes. Saturday morning started with a Peoples March from King George Square to the Shrine of Remembrance. At the end of the march, everyone gathered together for a Peacekeepers Ceremony to enjoy music, stories from special people, and remembrance wishes from others. The morning finished with networking with tea and scones provided by the Queensland Country Women’s Association.
