The United Nations Association of Australia’s Young Professionals Network (UNAA YPN) and Talking Foreign Affairs (TFA) with Adil Cader are excited to announce the launch of the Goodwill Ambassador Series. This new initiative will spotlight the important advocacy work of UN Goodwill Ambassadors, exploring the global challenges they champion under the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and providing insights into how young professionals can get involved.
The series will feature inspiring conversations with Goodwill Ambassadors—renowned figures from the worlds of entertainment, sports, science, and the arts—who use their platforms to raise awareness about critical global issues. Emma Watson’s advocacy for gender equality with UN Women and Liam Neeson’s support of UNICEF’s work for children’s rights are just two examples of how these ambassadors make a lasting impact.
Through this series, young professionals will gain valuable insights into the power of advocacy and learn how they can contribute to meaningful change. The interviews will explore real-world challenges and showcase the impact that global campaigns can achieve, demonstrating how individual action can align with larger movements for social and environmental progress.
This collaboration reflects the UNAA YPN’s mission to empower emerging leaders and connect them with opportunities to build a fairer and more sustainable world. Partnering with Talking Foreign Affairs, an initiative committed to educating young people on foreign policy and diplomacy, adds depth to the series by bridging the global and local perspectives needed to create meaningful impact.
The Goodwill Ambassador Series is an opportunity for young professionals to hear directly from some of the world’s most influential advocates, gain new perspectives, and explore ways to get involved with the causes that matter most to them. Together, we hope to inspire action and encourage a new generation of leaders to engage with the SDGs in tangible ways.
Stay tuned for the launch of the Goodwill Ambassador Series and join us on this journey to learn, connect, and make an impact.
